Happy to be on the road to success!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my first post on this brand new blog.  This also signifies a beginning of my internet marketing quest or journey.  If you’re interested in my background, you can check out the “about me” section.

I’m a student of Alex jeffreys’ coaching program 3.0 and so far, I’ve been pushed, pulled and moulded into a super new me.

Let me explain.  You see, for the past couple of years, I’ve been trying to make it big in the online business world but have made very slow progress.  I have learned a lot of stuff that everyone knows i.e. build a list, have an offer, build a backend, build a blog etc etc but its been the implementing of it and working on it consistently where I had been falling down on.

I’ve simply been wasting a lot of time away with no clear focus and no consistent actions.

So far, this is how Alex has helped me personally to become the new me:

1)  Having a mentor – Alex is a really passionate guy and someone I can relate to.  He is someone who has simply got stuck in, gave it his 100% and never looked back.  He’s also got the results to prove it.  Following in his example has been helping me drive forward.

2)  He’s taught me the most fundamental, number one most important thing you should do to make it big online.  That is to have a PLAN and focussed steps to reach your goals.

No matter what your goal is, whether it’s to make $1000 a year, $Million a year, you need a plan of action to get there.

I guess goal setting sounds so cliched and is nothing new right?  But trust me, simply creating a plan and following through with it will propel you forward MASSIVELY.  After all, they do say “A journey without a destination leads to nowhere”.

So this is what I implemented:

A one year plan, broken down to quarters, so you have four, 3 month plans.

I broke down the 3 month plan into monthly plans.

I further broke down the monthly plan into weekly ones.

Everyday, I have a daily task sheet.  On that task sheet, I list and describe everything I need to do that day, with a set amount of time allocated for it.

I use a kitchen countdown timer for each task, to ensure I focus on the task and don’t get distracted.

Don’t multitask.  That’s what I used to do.  I used to do a bit of “keyword research” on a niche, then do a bit of email, then have a “quick” look on you tube, then check the football scores etc……..before you knew it, three hours have passed and nothing has been done.

For fellow students of Alex or even if you’re not, I hope you’re keeping to your plans and working on them consistently day by day, because I know that it will pay off big time :)   If you’re finding it difficult to keep focussed, drop me a message and I’ll give you a hand.  Lets do it guys!

Great post Bailey. Keeping the focus and working to the plan consistently is the key to success! I’ve been planning my work time and keeping an eye on my goals since I started my business and I would not go back without a plan period.

Good luck bro! I know you can do it!

    Hi again,
Just read on your About Me page that you live in the UK. Was wondering how you know people in Calgary? WOW–I’m jealous-you make 3K a month from internet marketing?? Now there’s content for your blog-you can show people how you did it! And there’s a good idea for a product too!

Great first post Bailey. I have also so enjoyed Alex’s passion during each training session. And I think that passion is contagious. I still need to post my plan in the forum to help with the accountability.

I look forward to sharing and following along with you as we work to build our online business.

    Good luck and talk soon!

    Hello Bailey,

Well you might have been marketing online for 5 years but by reading your fabulous blog, I can see that now you really do have a very clear focus on what needs to be done. Like you I appreciate the support and totally open approach that Alex takes with all of us – it’s really interesting that you mentioned multi-tasking. This was my greatest weakness and without even knowing me Alex hit the nail right on the head!
As a total newbie I envy your skills and hopefully one day I will have a blog that looks as good as yours. Stay in touch mate – I like your style.

    Hey Bailey,

I just wanted to stop by and check out your web real estate. First and foremost let me say excellant post. The blog looks awesome as well. You have helped remind me of the importance of sticking to my plan and following the program. I myself am guilty of multitasking at times. The reminder to stick to the foundation is essential for me. Keep up the good work.

    All the best.

So true about the plan and breaking it down into smaller bits is just the way to keep on track. If you wait to assess your progress or plan after 6 months you could have diverted off the track by then. Great post and keep it going.

    Hi there Bailey
that is a great post you have there, your 100% right when you say you need a plan, because with out a plan your just running in the dark and let me tell you that’s a painful thing, I was running in the dark for 16 months and only starting to see the light now, I know we are going to make it here my friend because we have one off the best coaches around.
As you said Alex gives 100% and holds nothing back that’s what I love about this guy, you can tell it comes form his heart.
Ill let you know what is working for me so you can do the same, this journey is going to be great my friend

    Hey Bailey,

Your first post resonates very well with what I have been doing in the past … a little bit of this a little bit of that which leads to only one place “no results”. Your spot on about keeping focus and not doing multi-tasking and primarily having a plan. I mentioned this in one of my comments today, that I have started to build a plan after I joined Alex’s coaching program but I have to admit that I have not put it on paper and submitted in the accountability area. Next thing on my list :-)

    Cheers!

    Bailey my friend.

    Your blog looks fantastic man.

As soon as the competition kicked in my plan went straight out of the window.

Now I’ve gone back to basics, forgetting about the comp and just concentrating on building a real business.

Thanks for this post Bailey and good job on the blog.

    Reach new heights,

    Nathan

      Hey guys!

Thanks for all your comments! It’s been so encouraging for me. Anybody else feelin’ the love?

I’m very thankful to be part of this group and so glad to have such a great bunch of friends to do this together.

Anyone who’s starting to get a little off track, don’t worry. Sit back, read your plan again and get back on course!
